What preparation should we do before start the shotcrete machine operation ?

June 25, 2025

 Preparation before starting:

A. Check whether the contactors of the electric control system are fastened and whether electrical leakage occurs.

B. Check the oil gauge, and ensure the lubricant is sufficient in the reducer.

C. Check whether the connection and joints of various parts are reliable.

D. Run the machine for a little while to observe the running condition (Note: Make sure the running direction is consistent with the arrow and avoid over-heating by friction of the plates).

E. Check the fastening force of the sealing plate. Fasten the nuts of fastening device by hand first, then by spanner for 2-3 times till the sealing plates are air-proof.

There are two alternative methods to check whether the sealing plates are fastened sound:

Bend the conveying pipe and open the main valve. When the pressure reaches around 0.3 Mpa, there should be no leakage through the sealing plates.

Run the machine for 1/2 circle. When it stops, the rotor should stop immediately or rotate back slightly (due to the elasticity of the fastening rubber).

F. Check the oil lever of gear reducer. Turn the adjusting valve tightly in clockwise direction, and then turn 1/4~1/2 circle in counterclockwise direction.

G. Check and blow the air hose to make sure the air hose is clean. Then, connect the air hose to main air suction hose tightly. Open the air supply switch, and observe the pressure gauge reading (must be between 0.4~0.63 MPa).

H. Open the control valve of air motor slowly to rotate the rotor of gunite machine. Check the oil volume (whether oil mist exhausts from the air outlet). If it is necessary to adjust the oil volume, be sure to turn off the main valve of air supply firstly.
